Friday June 6th - a £250k diamond, inspiration in unusual places & a pat on the back...
Friday, 6 June 2008
Patrick's work is amazing and he prides himself on creating beautiful pieces, involving his clients in the whole process from start to finish and giving honest, refreshing advice and a lifetime of aftercare. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and his work to people so, if you're looking for an engagement ring, wedding rings, gift or (my favourite!) 'To Me, Love Me' present, get in touch with Patrick immediately!
I'm always on the lookout for inspiration and, once you've trained yourself to look for it, you find it in the most unusual places. Don't limit your magazines to bridal ones when you're planning your wedding - think about the look and style you want to achieve and then treat yourself to some other mags to flick through and start ripping out pages.
I often reach for copies of 'Coast', 'Homes & Garden', 'Traveller' and 'Vogue' depending on the type of wedding I'm working on but this week my favourite flash of inspiration actually took place in Waitrose, where the soft blue colour of a gorgeous potted hydrangea was captured by my digital camera, emailed to one of my clients and table centrepieces were agreed, all in the space of half an hour!
I'm off for the annual Whit Walk around the village I grew up in tonight and, digital camera in hand, I know I'll get inspired by something, or someone, as we tramp across the fields in the evening sunshine!
We know that we offer a different type of wedding planning service at Magic Dust Wedding Planners and it's always fabulous when our clients tell us how much they've enjoyed working with us. Just as important to us, and to potential clients I'm sure, is that suppliers love working with us too! Some suppliers are naturally a little reticent when they hear from a bride & groom that a wedding planner is co-ordinating the day but, I'm delighted to say that, more often than not, we are told, "Oh my goodness, you're such a breath of fresh air", "I've worked with other wedding planners and you're so much easier to deal with" and "If only all wedding planners were like you...".
So you can imagine how delighted I was when not 1 but 3 different suppliers from a recent wedding took the time to email me after the wedding and say all of the above and, without exception, "We really hope we get to work with you again very soon!" You know who you are so thank you from me once again!
If you want to talk to someone who'll help you plan the wedding you want to have, without taking over or being bossy, give me a call or drop me an email! We do still have a few dates available for 'On The Day' wedding coordination this summer - the peace of mind this buys you is priceless so why not find out if we're free on your wedding day?
Until next week,
