Marquee Hire Specialists – All Under Cover

Posted by Tammy on October 15th, 2010

I had the pleasure of working with All Under Cover this summer and it really was a pleasure from start to finish. The couples we work with to provide On The Day Co-ordination tend to be incredibly well organised and understand the importance of booking excellent suppliers. This lovely couple were no exception and I knew, from the first time I spoke with Ollie at All Under Cover, that we would have no problems at all in ensuring that things went smoothly.

Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and Ollie was able to answer the majority of my questions immediately, which left me in no doubt as to the professionalism of this company, and of Ollie in particular. Site visits had been carried out well in advance of the wedding day so there were no issues with the tricky access and nothing phased the set-up team.

The marquee was one of the most spectacular I have ever seen (and believe me, I’ve seen a few!) They re-steamed the interior once it was erected to ensure there were no wrinkles and it was this level of attention to detail that makes it very easy for me to recommend them as a supplier we definitely prefer.

All Under Cover provide marquees throughout Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. They can also supply bars, chill out furniture, star cloth (gorgeous!) and discos and dancefloors.

At Magic Dust, we are firm believers in the benefits of asking a small number of trusted suppliers to provide as many components of your wedding day as possible and All Under Cover are just the type of supplier we love working with.

Until next time, happy planning!

Hi, we’d love to use a marquee for our wedding next November, but some people are saying it will be cold, have you done weddings at this time of year in a marquee?

Hello, I think the key here is to find the right supplier. I have worked with couples who have had marquee weddings at the end of October and in January too and those marquees were toasty warm!

My suggestion is to speak to a few marquee companies and ask for their advice – use the expertise and experience of the specialists to answer your questions and either reassure you that you can have a lovely warm marquee in November, or convince you that you might want to reassess your priorities.

The other thing I would say is that people will always have an opinion (good or bad!) about the things you want, and don’t want, for your wedding. Decide early on who you are going to listen to (i.e. whose opinions you really value) and ignore the rest!

Good luck with your wedding planning and, if you’re still a little bit worried about being warm enough in a marquee in November, think about bulk buying relatively cheap pashmina shawls in a colour that co-ordinates with your wedding and place them in baskets in the marquee with notes for guests to help themselves if they’re chilly…

Just to add to Tammy’s great advice this company might be of interest to you http://www.papakata.co.uk/ They are perfect for the winter months, here’s what they say… Our tents are inspired by those used by the Sami people of Lapland, so they’ve been field tested in the harshest of climates, and are designed to be warm and cosy in cold weather.

We also supply finishing touches that will make sure you stay totally snug – an open wood-burning fire, real reindeer hides to sit on, and of course heaters to keep your tootsies toasty.

If you live and your wedding will be in southern England I think this company would supply you plus they have an open day very soon http://beautifulworldtents.co.uk/index_b.php?n1=2&n2=21

    Good luck

Hi Jane, always fabulous to hear personal recommendations – thank you so much for sharing!

And I can personally recommend Beautiful World Tents as I worked with them a couple of years ago at a fabulous tipi wedding and they were an absolute joy…
