Independent Celebrant – Guest blogger Kay Evans
Posted by Tammy on January 10th, 2011
Do we have a treat for you this week! Kay Evans, Independent Celebrant, is writing an exclusive series of 5 daily blogs for Magic Dust readers and will be inviting you to think about the ceremony you want, and the ceremony you might not be aware you can have, before you settle for the traditional, or ‘normal’ route.
I’ve spent a fair amount of time with Kay over the last few months and she is one of the friendliest people I have ever met. Not only that, she exudes an air of calm confidence that is infectious – I feel myself relax and unwind when I chat to her. I can’t think of a better person to help you design the perfect ceremony for you and your partner.
If you want to find out more then you can call Kay Evans on 07986 869 893, email kay@alwaysnumberone.co.uk or visit Kay’s website www.alwaysnumberone.co.uk
Do pop back every day this week to read Kay’s blogs – I’ll be back next week!
Over to you Kay…
Congratulations to those of you who having got engaged over the festive period are now looking forward to planning your wedding.
As you start organising your big day a huge amount of time and energy is spent making decisions about the venue, the dress, the flowers, the rings, the photographer , the honeymoon …but how much thought are you putting into the ceremony itself? Are you assuming that the off-the-shelf/one-size-fits-all is compulsory? Or are you curious enough to know that an alternative exists?
Knowing that you can now choose your own ceremony? Yes, really. It’s true.
The fact is that the ceremony is usually left to a vicar or Registrar who has delivered the same words a hundred or thousand times before, in a church or licensed venue. But in an age where we are so used to having choice in everything, there’s no need to limit yourselves to exactly the same as everyone else.
Your ceremony can be unique, just as you are.
Having a ceremony crafted and delivered by an Independent Celebrant means it will be sincere, meaningful and memorable. Following the legal preliminaries of either a marriage or civil partnership your ceremony is then held wherever and whenever you wish. Your Independent Celebrant is there helping you achieve the ceremony you want, in the location you want, on any date and at any time of day or night…
