Tammy was simply wonderful, a joy to work with! She was enormously helpful in the lead up the big day, helping to guide us away from potential pitfalls and provide creative solutions to problems.
On the day itself she was invaluable, I really felt utterly relaxed knowing that Tammy would make sure everything went as we had planned. She also went far and beyond what one might expect from a wedding planner, managing to "magic" up some batteries for a camera that had run out and even looking after my toddler during the wedding breakfast so that we could enjoy it in peace!

From the outset Tammy was highly professional and on top of all of the details of our special day. I was very impressed with the highly professional approach which Tammy demonstrated from the first meeting when she already knew the names and roles of all our suppliers.
I was really grateful to Tammy for double checking every tiny detail with all of our suppliers in the two weeks preceding the wedding. It was great to wake up on the morning of the wedding knowing that everything was completely under control!

queries were answered very promptly.

We loved the no intrusion approach from Tammy - she would do as much or as little as we wanted. There was no hard sell and was always willing to offer to help out - and the rates were really competitive. The best thing was all the contact she had with the suppliers, meaning that I didn't have to worry about any of them not turning up, or not knowing what to do.
To sum it up - working with Tammy meant that we were able to purely focus on doing the things that we wanted to do in the build-up to the wedding, leaving Tammy with all the dreary detailed things, and then on the day itself - we could really focus on having a fab time and enjoying being with all our friends and family.
Everyone says that there will always be something that goes wrong on the day, but Tammy ensured that even if there were any problems, we knew nothing about them. We would thoroughly recommend Magic Dust to anyone who wants to enjoy their wedding, and do it the way that suits them.

Tammy Willson is our wedding angel, she introduces herself from the heart via the company website – you really believe she is talking to you and you are the only clients she is working for. She is professional, easy going, relaxed and really wants to get to know you as a couple and what you are aiming for.
My partner was very sceptical about using a wedding planner, as he felt they were stuffy, inflexible and expensive. Tammy at magicdust is far from any of these and we came away from our meeting feeling as if we had both known Tammy for years, confident of our priorities and next steps.
She has the ability to focus your mind and make you think realistically both practically and emotionally about your priorities and what you want. She has fantastic ideas and is there for you at the end of the phone or via the website.

magicdust began with an animated conversation over a cold bottle of white wine and a delicious conch salad. Conversation got on to our own wedding the previous year - we had planned it with military precision and were starting to suffer 'spreadsheet withdrawal'...!
Luckily my husband and I share a passion for planning and meticulous attention to detail, and we had known exactly what we wanted - and what we didn't want - our wedding day to be like. But we had still been frustrated and disappointed by some of the attitude and poor service we came across as we organised our wedding.
Everywhere we turned there was someone else trying to make us part with money for things we weren't sure we wanted, let alone needed – and all the time hearing “this is the way it's done”. Even with our wits about us we nearly succumbed to one thing - that still makes us both cringe – because we were told that “we would always regret not doing it”, by someone who had met us both for the first time five minutes earlier!
We longed for someone, anyone, to ask us what we wanted and to tell us that was okay.
I was working as Commercial Director on the launch of Grazia magazine at the time, doing what I often described as 'the best job in the world'. Long days, late - frequently sleepless – nights and the challenge of launching a completely new type of magazine with ambitious targets meant that I knew all too well what hard work felt like! But I've never shied away from that because I know there's no better feeling than the knowledge that you've had a vision, stuck at something and achieved what a lot of people said was impossible. Launching Grazia proved to me that if you believe in something, and yourself, and if the idea is a good one, then the sky really is the limit.
Yet I felt I wanted a new challenge, doing something I was just as passionate about. So I finally left behind an enormously successful, award-winning, magazine that was being read by young, upmarket, stylish women every single week, to set up magicdust.
I knew we could make a difference to the way weddings are planned in this country and to the way the wedding industry is viewed by its most important customers – couples getting married.
Our standards are high, really high. We only recommend suppliers that we like and trust, and who we believe offer a service that cares about the couple getting married, not just about making money.
We focus on the start of a marriage, not just a wedding day, and we encourage couples to think about the decisions they're making with an eye on the longer term. If they're not sure that they want favours but are feeling under pressure to conform, we'll suggest squirreling that money away and using it to celebrate their one-month anniversary in style!
We are passionate about defending a couple's right to celebrate the start of their marriage exactly as they want to. There are no traditions that have to be observed but likewise there is no reason why couples shouldn't follow as many as they want – we believe the key is to respect their individuality whilst offering advice, support, encouragement and friendship along the way.
Our commitment is to being refreshing, simple and invaluable. It runs through everything we do and say at magicdust. We want couples to get off to the best possible start in married life, so we don't over-complicate things and our pricing is transparent & makes sense.
And there's one thing we never promise. We won't “make your wedding day memorable” because we know it already will be...!
