Choosing the right wedding suppliers
Each supplier you choose will be important to your celebration, so it's worth putting in the effort at the outset to make sure each choice is the right one
That means asking good questions right at the outset - so here's a few that can help you:
- How many staff are included in your quote and for how long?
- Do your prices include VAT?
20% on top of the rates you're quoted could blow your budget if you weren't expecting it
- Will you clear away all rubbish at the end of the wedding and dispose of it?
Sounds obvious but you can't assume anything
- How far in advance of the wedding date do you need final numbers confirmed?
Flexibility is crucial as numbers change so you need to know where you stand
There's also a couple of questions for caterers and venues specifically:
- Will you supply all crockery, cutlery, linens and glassware?
Find out now and you won't get any nasty surprises later on when you realise you haven't got any glasses
- Will your staff serve drinks supplied by another company?
Some caterers will, some won't but if you don't ask, how will you know?
